What is First Steps?

First Steps is Kentucky’s Early Intervention System (KEIS) is “a statewide early intervention system that provides services to children with developmental disabilities from birth to age three and their families. Kentucky Early Intervention System is Kentucky’s response to the federal Infant-Toddler Program.” KEIS “offers comprehensive services through a variety of community agencies and service disciplines and is administered by the Department for Public Health in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.”

WPT is looking for First Steps Providers!

Wilson Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Developmental Interventionists who are interested in Early Intervention Home & Community-Based therapies. This position will be classified as an independent contractor through Wilson Pediatric Therapy and First Steps. This is a good fit for therapists who are looking for flexibility, accommodation for personal schedules, and being able to continue doing what you love!
